6 of 31 Reasons People Do Not Receive Their Financial Harvest

Introduction

=========     REASON #06-  SOME DO NOT REALLY BELIEVE THAT THEY DESERVE A FINANCIAL HARVEST.

     Roots of inferiority grow deep.

     I was born and raised in Louisiana," said Dr. Mike Murdock.  One of the most common explanations of lack and poverty I must have heard 1000 times over the years.  "I do not have an education people have said.  My father and mama have no education.  we are just poor country folks."

     I suppose those statements have been spoken into my ears 1000's of times, explaining poverty and the lack of financial supply.

     U C, 1000's are so conscious of their weaknesses and limitations, they cannot even imagine themselves in a beautiful car, luxurious home, and the ability 2 write out a check 4 any need.  Poverty can become a part of your lifestyle so easily.  Many adapt 2 lack.
     I am not talking about a false humility that many put on like a  MASK.  I am talking about a deep -rooted philosophy or feeling that success is 2 far away 2 pursue.  "Well, Mike, I do not deserve anything."  "Then why are u trying 2 get a place in Heaven?"  Do u feel that u deserve that?  Do u believe that u have a right 2 walk on streets of gold, but not have a $50 a month raise?  That is absurd.  Something is out of balance.
     What makes a man dare 2 ask God 4 an eternal residence next 2 the Apostle Paul, but think  it is prideful 2 ask Him 4 a new car?  Now, thankfulness is a beautiful and wonderful quality.  Unthankfulness is poisonous.  Humility is precious and 2b treasured.  There is nothing wrong w/feeling that God has blessed u beyond what u deserve.  Every person who has been in the presence of God 4 any length of time feels this way.  His glory is enough.  His forgiveness is enough.  It is true, if He never gave us a thing on Earth, His Presence satisfies every part of our being.  It is a wonderful attitude that God treasures.
     But, I am focusing on the devastating and poisonous Cancer-of-Inferiority and loss of confidence that makes a person crawl away from God instead of boldly approaching God.
     One lady told me, "I am afraid money will hurt me spiritually."  "If u feel that financial increase will make u get away from God, why do u  not ask the Lord 2 strip u of one half of your salary, and that will increase your spirituality," I teased.
     Late one night after a service, a man approached me feeling, in his words, "unworthy."  As he stood, w/tears that appeared very real, telling me how unworthy he was of financial blessing,  I had several thoughts.  I wonder if he tells his boss that, when his boss suggests a raise?  Does he lower his price 2 the bare minimum, when a customer wants 2 make a purchase?  Or, does he negotiate furiously at the table of business?  My guess was that he was a master negotiator fighting 4 every penny he could get his hands on.  It was only when the teaching on prosperity focused on his responsibility that he was intimidated.
      Now, it is true that u must qualify 4 blessings.  Read the 18th chapter of Deuteronomy.  The requirement is 2 obey every law and principle of the Word of God.
     Isaiah saw it,  "If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:  But if u refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured w/the sword:  for the Mouth of the LORD hath spoken it" (Isaiah 1:19-20).
     Some people do not qualify 4 the blessing of God.  That is why they feel unworthy, unwanted and rejected.
     Some refuse financial mentorship.  "Poverty and shame shall be 2 him that refuseth instruction: but he that regardeth reproof shall be honoured" (Proverbs 13:18).
     Some are disqualified 4 a financial harvest bcoz they refuse 2 work.  "For even when we were w/u, this we commanded u, that if any would not work, neither should he eat" (II Thessalnians 3:10).
     Paul saw this.  He recommened that every person withdraw from those 2 lazy 2 produce.  "And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company w/him, that he may be ashamed." (II Thessalonians 3:14).
     Stop your victim vocabulary.  your conversations may be destroying u!  When u advertise your wounds, u attract vultures and buzzards.   They will circle your life waiting 4 an opportunity 2 attack and destroy.   "DEATH and LIFE are in the power of the TONGUE:  and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof" (Proverbs 18;21).
     U may feel unworthy, but do NOT advertise your weakness and vulnerability.  God talked 2 Jeremiah about discussing his liimitations publicly w/everyone.  "Say NOT, I am a child:  4 thou shalt go 2 all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee those shalt speak" (Jeremiah 1:7).
     U are commanded 2 take courage and despise fear.  "Be not afraid of their faces:  4  I AM w/thee 2 deliver thee, saith the  LORD" (Jeremiah 1:8).
     God has not given u the spirit of fear.   "For God thath not given us a spirit of  fear; but of power, and of Love, and of a sound Mind" (II Timothy 1:7).
     Your TONGUE is deciding the currents of your life.  "Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us;  and we turn about their whole body.  Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about w/a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth.  Even so the TONGUE is a little member, and boasteth great things.  Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!  And the TONGUE is a fire, a world of iniquity:  so is the TONGUE among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature;  and it is set on fire of hell.  for every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind:  But the TONGUE can no man tame;  it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison" (James 3:3-8).
     When the Holy Spirit controls the WORDS U ARE SAYING, your entire life becomes perfected.  "If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also 2  bridle the whole body" (James 3:2).
     Do a brief study on those losers iin Scriptures who failed 2 enter Canaan.  It was their Unbelief, Inferiority and Words-of-Doubt that destroyed them.  Ten spies had returned full of Doubt and Unbelief.  They had seen grapes, but they feared the giants.  "We be not able 2 go up against the people; 4 they are stronger than we.  And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, thru which we have gone 2 search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of great stature ... and we were in our OWN sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight" (Numbers 13:31-33).
     I call this , 'the Grasshopper Complex."
     Their enemy appeared bigger than their God.  God was focusing on the grapes of blessing.  The Israelites focused on the giants of Canaan.  They forfeited the promised land of Canaan bcoz of a sense of inability, limitation and unworthiness.
     Giants never defeated the Israelites.
     Why do some people feel unworthy?  They listened 2 somebody else who felt unworthy and incapable.  "And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night" (Numbers 14:1).

     > Somebody has influenced u in your past.
     > Somebody is influencing u today.
     > Somebody  has educated u in weaknesses and limitations.
     > Somebody has destroyed the SEEDS of Faith that could produce any Future u desired.

     Who are those who have sown seeds of slaveship into your heart?  Who are those who have made u feel unworthy, inferior and lacking the ability 2 achieve great things 4 God?
     Somebody who failed 2 believe the Word of God.  Rise up.  U CAN walk away from Egypt.  U can shake off the chains of fear.  U do not have 2 stay where u are.  Something bigger is rising up within u today.  Something bigger than u have ever known in your whole lifetime.
     Tomorrow is simply a moment away.  Activate it.  Move toward it.  Move away from Unbelief.  Move away from Doubters, Scorners, and Defeated people.
     As u move toward Faith, mountains will fall at your feet, whimpering 4 Instructions.  "For verily I say unto u, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain [Life's problems, concerns, worries, fears],  Be thou removed, and be  thou cast into the Sea; and shall not Doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he SAITH shall come 2 pass;  he shall have WHATSOEVER he SAITH.  Therefore I say unto u,  What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them" (Mark 11:23-24).
     
     Your father may have abused u.

     Your mother may have accused u.

     Your boss may have misused u.

     But, u are still alive and well today.  U are a survivor, a success, an overcomer!!  Look what u have come thru, gone over, and raced around.

     U are a WINNER and it  is obvious.  so, hold your head up high, put your shoulders back and march confidently and boldly toward the remarkable land of grapes, honey and supernatural provision that u have arrived  2.  They were made 4 somebody.   Why not u?

     > You were born 2 taste the grapes.
     > You are a Giant Killer.
     > You are a Mountain-Mover.
     > You can walk thru fire and not be burned.
    > The waters of life have not overflowed u.


     You are worthy 2 receive what u need bcoz u are the offspring, the Child of-the-Most-High-God who made the Heavens and the Earth. "A 1000 shall fall at they side, and 10,000 at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee" (Psalms 91:7).
     You can overcome any sickness and disease.  "There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling" (Psalms 91:10).
   You are surrounded by Angels that guard over u carefully.  "For He shall give His Angels charge over thee, 2 keep thee in all they ways.  They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone" (Psalms 91:11-12).
     You are afraid of nothing.  "Thou shalt not be afraid 4 the terror by night; nor 4 the arrow that flieth by day;" (Psalms 91:5).
     You will not die early but live 2 glorify God.  "With long LIFE will I satisfy him, and show him My Salvation" (Psalms 91:16).
     You will never be without access 2 God.   "Wither shall I go  from  Thy Spirit?  or whither shall I flee from Thy Presence?  If I ascend up into Heaven, Thou art there;  If I make my bed in hell, behold, Thou art there" (Psalms 139:7-8). 
     You will constantly and continuously be led by the Mentor of your life, the precious Holy Spirit.  "If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the Sea;  Even there shall Thy hand lead me, Thy right hand shall hold me" (Psalms 139:9-10).
     You are a rare, meticulously sculptured Jewel in the crown of God.  "For I am fearfully and wonderfully made:  marvellous are They works:  and that my soul knoweth right well" (Psalms 139:14).  
     God is continuously thinking wonderful and exciting thoughts toward u.  "How precious also are They thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!  If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand:  when I awake, I am still w/thee" (Psalms 139: 17-18).
     You will be revived in the midst of any trouble.  "Though I walk in the midst of trouble, Thou wilt revive me" (Psalms 138:7).
     Your enemies will become the enemies of God.   "Thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and Thy right hand shall save me" (Psalms 138:8).
     You will C every miracle completed that God started in your life.   "The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me" (Psalms 138:8).
     Sin makes u feel unworthy.  So, repent.  Turn away.   "That if thou shalt confess w/thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thing heart that God hath raised Him from the  Dead, thou shalt be saved" (Romans 10:9).
     Memories of disappointments can weaken u and remove your confidence.  So, follow the Instruction of the Prophet Isaiah.  "Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.  Behold, I will do a new thing:  now it shall spring forth;  shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the Wilderness, and rivers in the desert" (Isaiah 43:18-19).
     Remember, it is the greatness of God that brings blessing, not our personal greatness.  It is your need that attracts His intervention.   "For I will pour water upon him that is Thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground:  I will pour my Spirit upon they SEED, and My blessing upon thing Offspring" (Isaiah 44:3).
     Some are not experiencing financial harvest bcoz they are focusing on THEMSELVES, their unworthiness and inabilities.
     So, change your focus today.  Stop analyzing your unworthiness.  Focus again on the Author and the Finisher, the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End of our Faith... Jesus.  He alone is worthy of your total focus.  He is worthy of your attention.  He is the Source of EVERY GOOD thing.  "Not that we are sufficient of ourselves 2 think anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;" (II Corinthians 3:5).
     Many do not feel they are worthy or deserving of any good thing.  That is why their faith has not brought them into His Presence 2 receive the miracle harvest they deserve.
     Come boldly 2 His throne today.  May we pray a brief prayer?   "Father-God You respond 2 boldness.  Needs do not move You.  Desperation does not change You.  Faith influences You.  So, today, thank You 4 receiving us as we boldly approach Your Throne in our time of need.  We do not come 2 You based on our own worthiness and abilities bcoz our righteousness is as filthy rags.  Man in his best state is vanity.  You respond 2 HUNGER, so we reach 4 You today.  You will not disappoint us.  In the Name of Jesus. Amen. "
