Never Alone, Always Cared For

1 Peter 5:7 - casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

It does not matter how tightly knit our families are or how many close friends we have. When we go through a difficult time or trial, many a time, we still feel all alone and that no one really cares or understands.

Martha knew that feeling. She had on one occasion cried out 2 Jesus, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me 2 serve alone?” (Luke 10:40) Jesus’ disciples also knew what it was like 2 feel small, alone and in trouble. They cried out, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” when they were swept up in a terrifying storm. (Mark 4:38)

Today, maybe the cry of your heart is also, “Lord, do You not care that I am left all alone… that I am going under… that I am perishing?”  My friend, the Lord does care 4 u. He loves u so much that He wants u 2 cast all your cares upon Him — not just some but all your cares. He wants both your big and small cares. There is nothing too small or big for Him. If it is a care in your heart, He wants u 2 cast it upon Him.

When the apostle Peter wrote “casting all your care upon Him”, he was talking about the continuous act of casting all your cares upon the Lord. As a care comes, God wants u 2 cast it 2 Him. That is the lifestyle He wants u 2 adopt.

Why? The verse gives us the reason — “for He cares 4 u”. You are casting all your cares upon the One who loves u, and who left all of heaven 2 come and die 4 u. That is who u are casting your cares to. It is not just any person, but it is the One who gave His life 4 u!

When u are going through a difficult time, God wants u 2 believe that u are never alone bcoz He Himself has said that He will never leave u nor forsake u. (Hebrews 13:5) As the object of His care, He will take care of u for the rest of your life. You are never alone and always cared for!

Your Problem Must Bow 2 Jesus’ Name

Philippians 2:10 - … at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,

Whatever is troubling u, if it has a name, it must bow 2 the name of Jesus! Cancer must bow 2 the name of Jesus. Poverty must bow. Shame must bow. The Bible tells us that God has highly exalted Jesus and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee must bow!

That is exactly what happened when a severely demon-possessed man saw Jesus. The demons in him — called Legion for there were many of them — not only begged Jesus not 2 torment them, but they also fled when Jesus commanded them 2 go. The man was left whole, healed and in his right mind. (Luke 8:26–35)

My late father was similarly delivered from his drinking addiction of many years. I remember how he was in a drunken stupor one day. I prayed over him in Jesus’ name 4 him 2b loosed from his addiction 2 alcohol. He threw up violently soon after that and from that moment on, he never touched the bottle again!

Beloved, if your child is sick, lay hands on him and say, “In Jesus’ name, cough, stop. Fever, go in Jesus’ name. Health flows in your body in Jesus’ name!” If there is strife n confusion at home, deal with it the same way. I have used the name of Jesus as I prayed for a couple who were quarreling in a food center. It was amazing. All the strife between them seemed 2 melt away and they started 2 talk calmly after that.

That is the power of the name of Jesus bcoz that is the name of the one who died 4 u, who rose again and today is at the right hand of God, 4 u! That is the name which is above every name, and at which every knee must and will bow!
