Today's Prayer Oh God, Time and grace heals our wounds, but time is not always a friend. What about my friends who have not heard Your words of life? What if they were 2 die today? I should know how short life can be. I've lost loved ones and friends who were young. Accidents and sudden illness can take away a life quickly. Cancer, diabetes, aneurysms, catastrophic events can change a person's health and life in a moment. Lord, why do I fear opening my mouth? Please help me 2b bold, 2 speak Your words of truth and life 2 those I love, my family and friends, b4 time runs out. Help me 2b a living testimony 4 You. Stir up the Holy Spirit within me and the gifts You have given me 2 minister 2 others, 2 reach a dying world, 2 share Your love and Your hope 4 the future. Thank You in the name of Jesus, my sweet Lord and Savior. Amen.

"I can't believe u think that," I complained. "I was simply trying 2 explain that I don't have the same feelings about that issue as u do." The other person's response left little empathy 4 my position bcoz of the tone in which I had responded. We resigned ourselves 2 agree 2 disagree.
We all see things through our own set of glasses at times. Men view things differently than women. Bosses see things differently than employees. One ethnic group will see a situation totally different than another. Our life experiences, our past treatment of circumstances and our personalities all contribute 2 how we view situations in daily life.
Perception is often each person's reality whether that reality is true or not. Your perception of a situation is going 2 dictate your response more than the actual reality of it.
Whenever conflict arises from viewing things differently there is really only one way 2 resolve the difference. Usually the other person is offended by the tone of the other more than the position that is taken. If the other person is offended, we can only offer a few words: "I'm sorry. Will u forgive me 4 my tone?"
Humbling ourselves is the only way 2 resolve the relational breach. This does not mean u must agree w/the other person's position, it simply means u acknowledge their right 2 their position and u apologize 4 the manner in which u responded 2 their statements. This will usually allow most conflicts 2 avoid a breach in the relationship.
Is there someone u need 2 seek forgiveness from 4 taking an adversarial position?

Building an effective team depends on putting the right people in the right place. Every Christian has a place in the ministry of the church. When you clarify each ministry position and spell out the responsibilities of the position beforehand, each person–whether paid or volunteer–can understand what is expected and serve more effectively. Ministry Job Descriptions: leave less room for misunderstanding • clarify responsibilities of ministry positions • reduce the possibility of mistakes attributed to "I didn’t know" • decrease confrontational incidents due to lack of direction or policy • allow Christians to serve more effectively • provide information for recruiting ministry volunteers and staff members • help organize and equip your team, creating a sense of unity • identify which gifts tend to fit which positions.
