Life Above The Sun

John 10:10 10… I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

When u are not enjoying abundant life, u will feel as if life is full of toil. In your heart, life is meaningless and empty. You feel like someone “grasping for the wind”. (Ecclesiastes 2:11) It seems as if nothing you do adds up to much. The Bible calls this life “under the sun”. (Ecclesiastes 2:11) Someone who lives life under the sun may or may not know God, but God is either forgotten or not the center of things in his life. His thoughts are earthly and he does things to gratify his flesh. In the end, he finds life depressing and unfulfilled. Life under the sun is full of despair. But this is not so with someone who lives life above the sun with God. For life with Him is filled with joy and pleasures at His right hand. (Psalm 16:11) Life is abundantly full and good just as Jesus promised — “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly”. When u live life above the sun, your thoughts are heavenward and u become Christ-occupied. You live for Him because u know that all things were created through Him and for Him. (Colossians 1:16) When u live for His glory, your life takes on a new meaning and purpose. God’s Word says, “And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.” (Colossians 1:17) The Greek word for “consist” means “held together”. In Christ, all things are held together. And that is why when Christ is the central figure in your life, u will have it all together. Your mind will be held together. Your hopes and dreams will be held together. Your family will be held together by the cords of His love. Your life will not be empty, but full of God’s goodness because “Christ in you, [is] the hope of glory”. (Colossians 1:27) It is a wonderful life — this life lived above the sun. And u will have an even more wonderful life 2 come in heaven!

12 Scriptures for 2012 & Beyond

 

I believe it is the year of the Word of the God and God of the Word! It is a time when the office of the teacher (Ephesians 4:11) or the teaching gift of the Holy Spirit (Romans 12:7) will be re-emphasized in the Body of Christ. It is a time when a convergence of the School of the Word and the School of the Spirit takes place. That is why I released a Bible reading program at the first of the year. It's never too late 2 participate!

With this conviction in mind, I went to prayer and asked the Lord for Scriptures for 2012. To my delight, I felt the Holy Spirit highlight the following 12 Scriptures for 2012 and beyond, all with the address of 20:12, 10:12, 12:12 or 12:20. I hope you enjoy this innovative way of gleaning from the Word of God.

1. Exodus 20:12 – "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be prolonged in the land which the LORD your God gives you." We must cultivate a culture of HONOR! Everyone wins and the supernatural flows freely in such an atmosphere!

2. Proverbs 20:12 – "The hearing ear and the seeing eye, the LORD has made both of them." Communion with God, including a greater diversity in the prophetic, will be welcomed as there is an increase in both the seer and hearer anointings.

3. Ezekiel 20:12 – "Also I gave them my Sabbaths to be a sign between Me and them, that they might know that I am the Lord who sanctifies them." The Holy Spirit is emphasizing REST! It will be a tool of healing for many. Some will be called into a time of "sabbatical rest," extended vacations and celebrating the Sabbath.

4. Job 12:12 – "Wisdom is with aged men, with long life is understanding." The Spirit of Wisdom (Isaiah 11:1-3) and the gift of the Word of Wisdom () will be emphasized as part of the solution for the times we are moving into.I Corinthians 12:8

5. Zechariah 12:10 – "I will pour out on the House of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn." There will be more global prayer that will arise for the nation of Israel in 2012 than any previous year in Church history. This is all in preparation for regional conflicts in the Middle East that could come forth in 2013 and beyond.

6. Matthew 12:20 – "A battered reed He will not break off, and a smoldering wick He will not put out, until He leads justice to victory." Discouraged people will find fresh hope, and the justice movement will come into greater maturity and impact.

7. Luke 12:12 – "For the Holy Spirit will teach u in that very hour what u ought 2 say." Spontaneous leadings of the Holy Spirit will be released to many. Dependency on the "now voice" is a necessity. The Holy Spirit will manifest Himself as our Teacher.

8. John 20:12 – "...and she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been lying." There is an increase of angelic activity in the seer realm of discerning of spirits. People who have never seen angels will have angelic encounters.

9. Acts 20:12 – "...they took away the boy alive, and were greatly comforted." The revival of the resurrection of the dead will spring forth. It will not be limited to "third world countries" but will escalate globally.

10. Romans 12:12 – "...rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer." The message of the hour is HOPE! The call is 2 "Never give up!" There will be a return in the local Church to the call to intercession.

11. I Corinthians 12:12 – "For even as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ." This is the chapter for the year! It is time for Body ministry once again. As the five-fold ministry gifts are restored, the "saint's movement" will now pick up steam. Time for every member 2 function in the gifts of the Holy Spirit!

12. 2 Corinthians 12:12 – "The signs of a true apostle were performed among u with all perseverance, by signs and wonders and miracles." I am excited about this verse! It is the culminating verse the Lord has directed me toward. True apostles performing signs and wonders, walking in character are now on the scene.

Praise the Lord for the Year of the Word and the God of the Word merging. Let the fullness of the convergence of the ages – along with the graces of the past – be brought forward into our now for such a time as this. I trust these 12 Scriptures for 2012 and beyond will be a blessing 2 u!

 I hear the Lord say, "Hear the mixture of the sounds. Did u not hear the thunder? Did u not hear the horses? Did u not hear them pounding the earth as they are preparing to move about? Did u not hear the rain of refreshment that is about 2 fall upon the Earth? Did you not hear this tingle of hope, hope that causes people 2 look up 2 know redemption is drawing near? Did u not come to an understanding that I move in a multitude of ways? 

Sometimes I come in the thunder, sometimes I come in the whisper, sometimes I come in the stillness, and sometimes I come as a King of Glory on a mighty white steed preparing His people, preparing His people to go forth with the Gospel of power.

"I Am Preparing Runners"

"I am looking for a people who will submit, who will surrender, who will abandon themselves 2 Me, who will take back their will from one another and place their will and allegiance 2 Me and 2 Me alone. My will is about to be revealed. In this will, you will come 2 understand why I have had u lay aside, and why I have had u called out. I have called u aside so u could recognize My whispers. I have called u out from other things that would pull on u, 2b cut away from u, for your good.

"I am preparing runners: runners with My word, runners with My power, runners who are able 2 leap over mountains with Me with hinds' feet. I am causing My own to come apart, 2 come into the bridal chamber where I can whisper to them My will, and they can come forth with authority, knowing who has sent them. For the time you are entering into, the bridal chamber is thrown open. But it will be different, for there will be a party in this bridal chamber. It will be the wedding party that I am preparing for My own. Others will come, and those who are not dressed properly but with their own good works or with all that man has placed upon them, I will take it off of them. I will place My robes of grace, My robes of righteousness, and robes of My power with My works, with My name, for My sake.

"Come now and realize there is going to be a mighty, gigantic move that will come across your land. It will be known not only as a Jesus movement or a King of kings movement – for I alone have stripped away religion, and have stripped away any alliance with the world – it will cause everything that makes you stumble to be stripped away. There will come fire on the feet of My own to spread the Gospel of love, the good news of forgiveness, the good news of healing, the good news that God is for you and not against u. I am going to bring forth a grace message. But it will be a message balanced with grace and righteousness in purity and holiness, and in power, for they cannot go independent, but they must flow in the same river of love, protection, and authority," says the Lord your God.

"Learn to Accept My Glory"

The following corporate prophetic word was given by Eileen Fisher on January 10, 2012 during her weekly Prophetic School of the Holy Spirit meeting in Colorado Springs, Colorado:
The Lord said, "Take off restrictions. Take off the restrictions man has placed upon you. Take off constrictions, that the world has you tied in knots, not allowing u 2 run free. Throw off heaviness. Throw off sin. Throw off depression and discouragement. Stand on My Word. Dwell in My Word. Let My Word dwell in you. You are going to see My hand. When it comes down, you will know it is My hand. Even now My hand is moving. 

"Can u not hear the spirit of mockery rising up in the world? Do you not understand that I was mocked upon the Cross, and My own, too, will be mocked? Know in the mocking, there is also a marking of My glory. Learn 2 accept My glory. I have marked you with the Blood of My Son. I have paid costly for you. I have paid a great price for u. Live abundantly. Live in the Blood of My Son. Have I not said, 'There is life in My Blood?'

"Take life. Let death be defeated. Let depression be defeated. Let hope rise up where despair has become a place 2 lay. Take authority. Stand in the goodness of your God. Stand in My favor. Stand in My understanding. Ask for the mind of Christ to be placed in u, so u will be able 2 comprehend and to think the thoughts of Christ. Pull down vain imaginations. Wherever the enemy comes and takes up residency, u have allowed him 2 take what My Kingdom has come to claim. Declare 'off limits to the demonic.' Let My glory reign," says the Lord your God.

Rejoice, O Barren

Rejoice, O Barren!
Galatians 4:27 27… “Rejoice, O barren, you who do not bear! Break forth and shout, you who are not in labor…
Barrenness. What a painful and frustrating condition. Yet, in Isaiah 54, God’s Word to those who are experiencing barrenness is to rejoice — “Sing O barren”! Why? Because in the previous chapter, it tells us that the chastisement for our peace fell upon Jesus. (Isaiah 53:5) The word “peace” here in Hebrew means completeness, soundness, health and prosperity. In other words, all these benefits are yours today because Jesus has already been punished at the cross for your peace. That is why you can start rejoicing. So God wants you right now, in whatever area you are barren, to start rejoicing as if the fruit or yield you want to see has already come. He wants you to start thinking, speaking and acting as if the barrenness is no more. If you are financially barren, start planning for what you would do when your finances increase. I am not saying that you go out and spend recklessly, but start making plans for wealth and increase. The time to do this is when you are still in what your natural eyes see as a barren stage. You may say, “Pastor Prince, you don’t understand, the banks are chasing me!” God says, “Rejoice because you are prosperous in Christ.” In Christ, you are already blessed with every spiritual blessing, including prosperity. (Ephesians 1:3) “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.” (2 Corinthians 8:9) If you are sick, start planning to do what you have not been able to do. Don’t rejoice only when the healing manifests and the pain is no more. Rejoice now in your healing because Jesus has already borne your diseases and carried your pains, and by His stripes you have already been healed. (Isaiah 53:4–5) Whatever barren situation you are in, rejoice and tell God, “Father, because of the sacrifice of Your Son, I am blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. You have already given me everything. So I am going to act like it is so and rejoice!”

2012: Year of Restoration and Reformation

This year will be one of restoration and reformation. New revelation and strategies are now available to discover how 2 do things outside the box. Please don't think of this as a "blanket blessing" in which everyone will receive automatically. You will need to press in and ask God for specific steps, and continue 2 clear any accusations you are holding against other people. Our own judgments against others will block the blessings from God.

Restoration: God is Revealing the Plans of the Enemy

The winds of change are blowing away the clouds and smoke that the enemy has placed in front of our eyes. This year we will see how satan has been lying, cheating, and stealing. This will become more evident as dishonest practices that have robbed people will continue to be revealed in business and government.

The Cries of Justice Have Been Heard

A backlog of promotions, repayment, and blessings are now being released from Heaven. In some cases it will start slow and increase steadily. In others, it will be like a deluge of blessings. Continue to ask God to repay you for any losses you have experienced.

Medical and Business Breakthroughs

We are going to see new medical breakthroughs this year. With the onslaught of diseases and viruses, God is offsetting this by initiating radical medical discoveries and cures.
There will be new inventions and business strategies released from Heaven. Some people will be shown how to make a million dollars overnight. Business partnerships will be formed to release finances for Kingdom projects.

God is Giving Key People Keys to Each City

I heard God say that He is giving key people unique understanding on how to reach a city or a region. Each city needs to receive a specific strategy to turn the city around economically and spiritually.

Vault of Heaven Unlocked

In December I had a spiritual experience in which I heard a "tumbler lock" of a big bank-type of vault click into place. I heard God say that the vault door of Heaven is now unlocked and finances for Kingdom projects are now available, including finances for new media and creative business projects.

Reformation: Dying will Bring New Life

Letting old ways go and dying to broken dreams will be a key to succeeding this year. Death always brings new life in the spiritual sense of things. It is a time to embrace our losses and look to God for new plans.

Awakening Begins

God has heard the cries of people who are longing for a new outpouring of His love and power. It is a year of preparation for greater things to happen in 2013–14. It is a year of preparation and realignment from the old to the new.

The Wait Has Been Worth It

We have been in a time in which there has been an abundance of prophetic words and revelation but the fulfillment of them has been quite scarce. The result of not seeing prophecy fulfilled has brought prophetic disappointments. This time has come to an end, as God will begin to answer prayer and fulfill prophetic words much more quickly.

Hope deferred makes the heart sick,[but] a longing fulfilled is a tree of life. Proverbs 13:12
This is a year of longings fulfilled: new marriages, babies, healings, emotional and financial turnarounds.

We Must Operate in High Levels of God's Love and Grace

A new understanding of God's love and grace is being released. It's a time to love people who are different than we are. Jesus said to bless those who curse u and love your enemies. God is rich with love. This is a year to grasp the depth of God's love and grace for ourselves and for the people around us (Ephesians 3:16–19).

New Operating System

On December 31st I had a dream that Microsoft had released a totally new and updated version of their network operating system. In the dream u had 2 pay $5,000 and get a special certification 2 use it. The software was being offered for sale at churches. When I went 2 buy it, all I could find were imitations re-packaging the old operating system called "Windows 98 Enhanced."

God is releasing a new way 2 operate and it will have a higher cost and lots of grace. Five is the number of grace and 5,000 means grace at a high level. We will need 2b retrained 2 move in the greater things of God this year. Beware of people trying 2 dress up the old way and say that it is new.

A Move of God is Coming 2 San Francisco that will Impact the World

I have had numerous dreams, visions, spiritual experiences and angelic visitations about a wave of the Spirit hitting San Francisco. Because there have been people praying and crying out 2 Him, just as God said that He would spare a city if He found one righteous person, He has found many who have literally been crying over San Francisco. Watch the Bay Area begin 2 be much more open 2 God this year.

Healing Hot Buttons

New insight will come from God on how to deal with some major political and social "hot buttons" that have separated people in the past. God is releasing the Spirit of Reconciliation that will bring healing of differences between people groups and nations. It will be important to engage issues from a "Kingdom mindset" and not simply a political one.

Let Disasters Pass Over You
This will be a fun yet challenging year in many ways. It will be important to keep our eyes focused on God's purposes for our lives. Pray that u hear the voice of God and know the steps 2 take 2b blessed through any downturn. Do your best 2 not focus on negative reports as God is going 2 allow disasters 2 pass over people who are looking 2 Him for solutions.
It is an amazing time 2b alive.

Remember the Promises of God

 

Remember the Promises of God and Not the Threats of the Enemy
With the holidays quickly coming upon us, we must take the time 2 reflect on the promises of God, and not the threats of the enemy! Remember the destiny that He has for each one of us. You may not know yours yet, but keep pressing in, rise above your circumstance, and He will reveal it. You press in and you rise above your circumstance by keeping your focus on Him. Do not focus on the loss, focus on Him and stay in His glory!
 
The Lord revealed Himself 2 Samuel in a time when His voice was rare. First Samuel 3 talks about Eli, but how Samuel stayed in His presence, not running ahead of Him but waiting on Him. Samuel was not consumed or caught up in the circumstances. He watched the defiling of the priesthood in the temple, but he didn't let that affect him!

Daniel 7 talks about the visions in Daniel's dream. It was a dream that bothered him and troubled his spirit. However, and this is key... regardless of the visions, regardless of the prophecy of devastation to come to the earth, verse 18 says: "But the saints of the Most High shall receive the Kingdom, and possess the Kingdom forever, even forever and ever."

Friends, that is us! WE will possess the Kingdom forever!

"And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding." Daniel 2:21

Daniel 2:21 decrees that He removes kings throughout the world. Look around you – massive changes are taking place in governmental leadership with kings, judges, presidents, prime ministers, even families. It doesn't matter what label we have put on it, God changes the times and seasons. HE sets up kings and HE replaces them. We must recognize that a change is now, for the door opens both ways: whether it is for good or for evil.

When Christ came through the womb of a woman, a breaking forth took place that changed the course of the world. We need a breakthrough to go forth that will change the world through you and through me. When the Holy Spirit indwells fully in us is when change happens, for destiny goes before us. It is the Spirit who gives us the wisdom, understanding and revelation to discern the precepts, times and seasons. It is then that we are able to walk filled with His love, peace and joy.

The Kingdoms of the World

In Luke 4:1-13, we see how satan tempts Jesus with the offer of dominion over all the kingdoms of the world... Jesus rejects this proposal. Jesus' Kingdom in this age is not a kingdom of this world (John 18:36-37). He refuses to seek a kingdom for Himself by the worldly methods of compromise, earthly power, political maneuvering, external violence, popularity, honor and glory.

Jesus' Kingdom is a spiritual Kingdom ruling in the hearts of His people, who have been taken out of the kingdoms of this world. As a Heavenly Kingdom, we can operate and maintain in this realm but it comes with a cost. It is gained through suffering, self-denial, humility, and meekness. It does require giving our bodies as a living and Holy sacrifice (Romans 12:1-2). Fasting is a key here that enables us to stay on target; we then know we have complete devotion and obedience to God whenever we are struggling with spiritual weapons against sin, temptation, and satan (Ephesians 6:10-20). It means as Christians we resist conforming to this world.

"But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added 2 u."Matthew 6:33

Those who follow Christ are urged to seek, above all else, His Kingdom and His righteousness. The word seek here implies being continually absorbed in a search for something or to diligently search for something. In this passage here Jesus points out His Kingdom and His righteousness in His Kingdom. We must seek earnestly to have the Ruler and power of God demonstrated in our lives. I pray every day that God's Kingdom will come in the mighty power of the Holy Spirit to save sinners, to destroy the demonic, to heal the sick, and to magnify the name of our Lord. The Year of the War Horse

Greetings all,
2012 is going to be the year of the War Horse, but to understand this we must first understand what a war horse is. In years past, when cavalries were common, generals would lead their troops into battle mounted on their "chargers." From Bucephalus to Traveler, famous chargers left their marks on history.

Horses have not been widely used in battle since World War I though both horses and mules saw limited use in World War II. They have been barely used since then though Special Forces adapted to the use of horses in the early stages of the war in Afghanistan.

My hometown of Miles City, Montana was historically a famous source for cavalry horses. Fort Keogh, located just west of town, was one of the primary U.S. Remount Stations during World War I. In fact, it can be argued that more horses destined for warfare have been shipped from Miles City, Montana than anywhere. The only other place that could rival us would be Fort Robinson in Nebraska. Fort Keogh was named for Captain Myles Keogh who died with Custer at the Little Big Horn. But, it was Keogh's horse, Comanche, that though severely wounded, was the lone survivor of Custer's Last Stand. Custer's horse, incidentally, was named "Vic."

The U.S. Remount program had a large influence in this area and throughout the West when the government upgraded ranch bloodlines by importing blue-blooded horses from the east to cross on western range mares. The history of the Remount Service is chronicled in the book War Horse by my friend Phil Livingston (co-authored by Ed Roberts). Another book, Horse Soldiers, tells the story of the Special Forces using horses in Afghanistan, and of course, some of you have already seen the Stephen Spielberg film, War Horse, which is adapted from a children's story set during World War I.

Chargers vs. the War Horse

In the photo below is our grandson, Creed Alexander Ferguson, on our retired gelding "Shiloh Glory." Shiloh, as we call him, was born in 1985 during the height of our first home-church ministry. His dam was a registered Quarter Horse mare with famous running bloodlines. This "bottom side" – as the mare's pedigree is called in America – carried the blood of Rocket Bar, Hard Twist, Go Man Go, and other famous sprinters. She had the blood of "chargers."

But, we must understand that a "charger" and a "War Horse" are not necessarily the same thing today.
We all know "Chargers" of sorts. And, if we are humble, many of us can confess to being Chargers. Chargers are warlike, militant, martial, and confident. They rush straight ahead at the slightest hint of battle. Famous battles, including Fetterman's Massacre in Wyoming, have been lost because Chargers charged ahead prematurely.

Chargers are great at arousing the troops, drawing their swords, blowing the bugle, and spurring straight into combat. They are not so great at planned tactics, strategy, and coolness under fire. A Charger often knows only how to charge, but a true War Horse knows how to handle himself in combat.

The "top side" of Shiloh Glory's pedigree is all Remount blood. His sire, Gold N Glory was by Mizpah Glory, and all this blood traces back to a once well-established Remount program south of Miles City.

Years ago we entertained a young woman from ABC Sports. She was a top rider on the east coast jumper circuit. The first time she rode Shiloh, who was a young five-year-old at the time, she called him a "war horse." A good rider, no matter what their discipline, knows it when they are mounted on a war horse. "Shiloh" has many meanings in the Hebrew. It was, of course, a meeting place with God, but the word – derived from its root, Strong's #7951 – can mean "safety, tranquility, happiness, and prosperity." Our Shiloh, the gelding above, was officially retired in 2010. We took him out of retirement briefly this summer for the grandkids, but war horses are not baby-sitters. Even in his advanced years, Shiloh's heart beats for the charge. He listens for bugles, not lullabies.

Actually, I considered putting Shiloh down this fall. His knees are arthritic and he gets thin in cold weather, but it seemed, in spite of all odds, that Shiloh was to see the year 2012. Because 2012 is the year of the War Horse.

All prey animals, but especially horses, have a "fight or flight" instinct. The "charge straight ahead" attitude of many "Chargers," can actually be a flight instinct rather than a fight instinct. It is not uncommon for insecure people to mask their insecurities with aggressiveness. Again, it is not the white-hot charge that is a measure of boldness as it is the calm perseverance of composure under fire.

2012, for the Body of Christ, will be the Year of the War Horse. But make no mistake about it, it will not be the rash and brash who are ridden to victory. It will be the calm, collected, and cooly courageous.
